Concept

The object transforms reminders into spatial presence

Rememberita explores how unresolved tasks can remain physically present within the environment rather than disappearing behind temporary notifications.

Positioned near the threshold of the home, the object integrates into routines of leaving, allowing reminders to persist through ambient light, proximity, and environmental presence. Instead of demanding immediate attention, the system remains quietly active until physically acknowledged.

The interaction relies on tactile feedback rather than discrete interface elements, turning the object itself into the confirmation mechanism.

The Interaction

From acknowledgment to completion

Idle
01
Idle
Blends into the environment as a quiet ambient object positioned near the entrance of the home.
Received
02
Received
A reminder sent through Telegram activates the OLED display and internal lighting, turning the task into a persistent ambient signal.
Approach
03
Approach
As the user approaches, proximity sensing accelerates the light animation, beginning the interaction before physical contact.
Confirm
04
Confirm
Pressing the compressible upper shell confirms completion and clears the active reminder; the light turns white with the press.
Release
05
Release
The animated light fades and the object returns to its neutral state. The unresolved task no longer occupies the environment.

Object & Technology

A perforated outer shell softens the light, while internal springs allow the surface to compress.

Rememberita combines an Arduino ESP32, OLED display, NeoPixel lighting system, ultrasonic distance sensor, and spring-supported enclosure. Reminders sent through the Telegram API activate animated light and icon-based visual states inside the object.

The object turns completion into a physical gesture.
